Polo boots are not what you'd want to wear to work plowing snow, driving a yard tractor, or mucking about the garden of your home. Not that they couldn't stand up to the task, of course. But while they are meant to be both sturdy and stylish, the emphasis would be on the latter. Polo boots are far more at home on the ski slopes than the tree farm.If style and substance pique your interest, read on after the jump for more information about Polo boots.
I'm impressed with the well-designed construction and styling of the Polo boots; my reservation is in the buckle closure on the front of the boots. It's an extra step in securing and doffing the boots, and the buckled strap will tend to catch debris -- mud, sticks, leaves -- if you wear the boots in a working environment. Thus, my recommendation that these boots be bought for, and used in, casual situations.
These Polo boots are the Tavin version and they sport the trademark look of lace front closure with a buckle and strap on top. They have a generously padded collar, a lug sole, leather uppers, and a bootstrap rear loop to assist in donning the boots. Pictured at the right.

If you prefer a shorter boot, try the Polo Tyrek Mid-Cut boot. Textured leather upper, the usual lace and buckle strap overlay, signature boot hardware, and a lug sole for excellent traction in snow or ice. At the left.

The Polo Ranger boot features a custom fit buckle closure, lug soles, padded collar for ankle comfort, and a textile insole. The brandy version is shown right.

This pair of Hardy Polo boots is mid-cut length with a cross strap and rubber lug soles for extra traction in sloppy environments. Pictured at the left.
The Brodney Cold Weather version of the Polo boots has a double zipper front closure, leather uppers, and company logos on the zippers and the heels. These boots are, pictured at the right, are ideal for a snowy night on the town.

Two unusual variants of the classic Polo boot are up next. The first is the Ranger Shearling Rolldown boot -- the collar rolls down for comfort or appearance, the boots have prominent logos on the sides and rear, and all of that is topped off with the lace and strap front closure. These good looking boots offer a casual flare that can be worn in all but the hot summer months.
The second variation of this Polo boot is the Tavin Rolldown with a plaid flannel lining; grip lug sole, leather and suede uppers, and, of course, the option to roll the uppers down for comfort.
I like Polo boots; they are well-suited to casual wear and fill the bill for a comfortable addition to outdoor sporting clothing.

Cool-looking graphic t-shirts are in demand and trendy. Just look at sites like Threadless.com, which has gained such a large following. If you could grab a unique statement tee and help a good cause, why wouldn't you? It's been almost a month since Haiti was struck with the devastating earthquake and the world hasn't forgotten. I've spotted so many nice t-shirts online that are helping to provide relief and aid to Haiti. Go-to places for tees (Cafepress, Zazzle) are all helping with the cause through their designs. Celebrities are jumping in on the action too. Take Lady Gaga; she's got one of the more popular relief shirts. The smaller sizes are already sold out on her website. The fashion world has also produced a "Fashion For Haiti" T-shirt. So if you're still thinking of Haiti and want to help out in another way, shop below. This $10 Threadless' Haiti shirt also comes in sizes for your kids. I love it!

Last weekend, Old Navy had a great sale on flip flops. Each pair was only $1 and I was among the thousands of people who took advantage of that sale. I purchased 2 pairs: a black pair that will match just about anything and a gold pair which will go perfectly with my new brown dress. Its seems like every weekend they have some sort of sale to entice their customers.
What's on tap this holiday weekend at Old Navy? They are offering tanks for $5, sandals for $6, boys and girls swimwear for $9 and more. Plus, if you print out their coupon, you can receive $5 off any $25 purchase. Sweet!
The sale is going on right now through Friday, June 3. Can't make it into the store? I have good news for you. I was just on their website and noticed their selection of new arrivals for the whole family. These All-American styles will make the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe and most of them are under $20. A few of my favorites are listed below.

Plus-Size Leopard Print Swimsuit $49.50 | Distressed Shorts $15 | Embellished Sandals $19.50

2010 Logo Flag Hat $5 | Habiscus-Print Shorts $12 | Applique T-Shirt $15

Embroidered Bermuda Shorts $14 | Peace Sign Swimsuit $9 | Sunglasses $5
Plus-Size Summer Styles By Age | Summer Dresses | Summer Fashions Under $50

OK, I'm the first to admit that I thought that the funny-shaped shoe ads were all a bunch of hooey. I mean, come ON - can a weird looking shoe *really* tone and tighten one's tushie? Well, after a month of using my MBT Shoes and Sneakers, the Fora style to be specific, while I'm not ready to credit them with the tiny amounts of toning or tightening that I've seen since I previously talked about working on myself after I finally finished my next book, "Diet Drama," but I will say this - the MBT "anti-shoe" is the most comfy sneaker I've ever owned! Here's why:1. MBT Shoes and Sneakers truly improve balance and posture. I was born with a shortened heel cord, and while that's great for when I want to wear high heels, it also means that I walk funny and that I'm the clumsiest person I know. I can't hardly walk straight, y'all! I run into everything. This is why I ride a trike. I'm not ashamed but it *does* make my exercise routine a bit less manageable, and it makes me the butt of many jokes among my friends and workout buddies. Seriously, I've had corrective shoes that cost a fortune, and they didn't work nearly as well to help me balance as the MBT Shoes and Sneakers. These sneakers are different because the way they're designed limits the amount of shock our bodies absorb when walking, while correcting our gait at the same time! At first, I felt even clumsier than usual, but after a couple of hours of walking along I quickly got the hang of it and love the way it feels to walk!
2. They don't look THAT weird. Unless you're looking closely, my Foras in black don't really look much different than any other shoe, and if someone is looking close enough to see the difference, I'll gladly tell them why they're so awesome even though they look a little odd! One thing to note: because of the design, most people, myself included, need a size larger than usual, so factor in a slightly larger-looking shoe and foot when thinking about appearances! And, while I chose the sneaker options, because all I wear are flip flops, sneakers, heels, and flats when the heels start to hurt, MBT makes some adorable casual and even kinda dressy shoe options, too!3.MBT Shoes and Sneakers really do help with real problems! While I don't suffer from overpronation, plantar fascitis, or severe heel pain or back pain, I looked at the different places MBT products were sold and all over the internet there are thousands and thousands of customers with these problems that are giving MBT Shoes and Sneakers five star reviews! I can imagine that if I were suffering from a severe foot disability and stumbled upon a shoe that alleviated the pain and stress for a fraction of the cost of a professional procedure, I'd be thrilled, too!
So what are you waiting for? Whether you're a guy or a girl, with great feet or foot problems, try out a pair of MBT Shoes and Sneakers today!

Want to get a leg up on your competitors? Aside from constant practice, you can get a big jump on the other guys with superior gear; worrying over whether your equipment is up to the task is sure to be a downer. So it is with skateboarding. Enter the Nike 6.0 line of board shoes, with their lightweight design, solid durability, and reliable foot support; all to keep you ahead of the pack.
These Nike 6.0 Zoom Oncore Men's Shoes sport a gripping bottom sole, multiple overlays on the upper, and the proprietary Zoom Air Phylon midsole. The bright colors will mark you as someone to be reckoned with.

You can find flex cushioning at its best in these Nike 6.0 Brazen Men's Skate Shoes -- a mesh/suede upper with a heel overlay for support and long-lasting durability, and a rubber outsole with classic herringbone tread for superior grip and traction.

Options? Who called for options? You have them in the Nike 6.0 Mavrk Mid 2 men's footgear. The shoe is ultra light in weight, with top-flight ankle protection and stability. A choice of 13 color options and a pair of graphics, a heel pull-tab for easy donning and doffing, a triple combo of leather, suede, and nubuck for looks and long life, a tongue strap to keep your foot well secured in the turns and stops, and a super-stick outsole for superior grip on your board.

Last, but not least for the folks who prefer a high top shoe for skating, and playing after skating; the Nike 6.0 Oncore Hightop with a taller upper. The leather upper, with its great looking protective overlays, provides top shelf ankle support because of the high collar. The generously perforated toe box provides for temp control and ventilation, and the light weight of the shoe makes you feel as if you're barefoot. The rubber outsole features sturdy lugs for traction on just about any surface you come across.
Nike 6.0 men's shoes -- top of the line gear for skateboarding performance. It never hurts to have the advantage on your competitor.

I happened to be watching E! News on Veteran's Day, and I caught a story on BFF Bracelets that swept the Hollywood scene over the summer, and now, the nation. Some celebs that have already jumped on board include: America Ferrara, Camilla Belle, Corbin Bleu, Wilmer Valderrama, and Giuliana Rancic. This was my first time hearing about this wrist trend for a good cause. I'm thinking that this bracelet trumps your typical Silly Bandz.People are buying these leather strap bracelets with an engraved metal plate reading "bff ;)" to show their support for our troops. Through BFF Bracelet's partnership with the American Freedom Foundation, BFF Bracelet wearers can connect with a BAFF (Best Armed Forces Friend) in the military, and 25% of the proceeds from the sale help to fund charities that support members and families of the armed forces.
So, how does it work? It's as easy as 1-2-3:
Step 1: Shell out just $10 to buy your BFF Bracelet online, or at participating retail stores. $10 also covers the cost of a matching bracelet that will be sent to your new BAFF.Step 2: Cozy on up to your computer and jump online to register your bracelet on the BFF Bracelet site with the unique number engraved on the back of the bracelet.
Step 3: A bracelet with an identical engraved number will be sent to your new BAFF, and you two can unite on the BFF Bracelet's online community.
After that, wear your new BFF Bracelet with pride! And, feel good in knowing that you've just given someone in our military a comforting reminder of a new friend back home.
I think this concept is great, and is definitely a win-win all around. It's trendy for the wearer; it's subtle, but makes a bold statement; it helps families of the armed forces; and it makes you and your BAFF feel good inside. We could all always use another friend.
The BFF blog has this to say about their bracelets: "Wearing these bracelets symbolizes not only an acknowledgment of support for their efforts on behalf of our country, but a connection and friendship that bridges perspectives."

Silly Bandz is has released an all-new product for this season, and it was announced on the Silly Bandz Blog just a couple days ago! It's a slap watch made of silicone called Silly Slapz, and you can only buy them on the Silly Brandz Global site right now because they're THAT NEW. Silly Slapz could very well be the biggest craze of the 2010 holiday season. These watches will remind you of the slap bracelets from the Eighties and Nineties. You just flatten them out, and with a quick flick, you can slap them right onto your wrist. The biggest differences are the watch face and the silicone material, which give your Silly Slapz Slap Watches more durability and comfort.
You can choose from nine fun colors and between a round or square face to suit your taste. Whatever the combo, it'll look great alongside an arm full of Silly Bandz. They're just $17.99 right now, and they'd make a great, affordable gift for kids (learning to tell time), teens, and let's not leave out the adults! A tip: buy them now, because you know how crazes can cause prices of products to sky rocket as we get closer to the holidays.
Are you ready for another Eighties throwback?! Here are all the options you have so far. You'll notice they're all round face Silly Slapz to start, and that Tangerine is not yet available in adult size, but I expect the line will expand in no time.
Available in Adult Size:
Black || White || Aqua || Red || Purple || Pink || Green || Yellow
Available in Youth Size:
Black || White || Aqua || Red || Purple || Pink || Green || Yellow || Tangerine

Want cool Silly Bandz to wear alongside your new Silly Slapz Slap Watch? Here are some favorites:
Justin Bieber Silly BandzHe's a teen sensation, and you can't help but like his catchy songs. Why fight Bieber Fever any longer? Admit that you're a fellow fan and show JB some love by sporting his fashionable Silly Bandz.
Silly Bandz Beach ShapeNot only are these Silly Bandz a welcome reminder of the warmer days of summer, but they're also UV-activated! See them change colors in sunlight.

The mustache trend has been picking up steam over the past year. But, I'm not talking about the mustache as a facial hair fashion -- nope. I'm talking about it in terms of fashion-fashion, as in: clothing, jewelry and other accessories! It's a little weird, kinda quirky, and definitely a funny fad for the mustache-less out there. Maybe it's compensation for not being able to grow a hearty one. From mustaches on shirts to fake mustaches to wear around to mustache necklaces and snow globes, mustaches are popping up everywhere, and in the most random places. And, I have to admit, I bought in from the first moment I saw fake mustaches in stores. So, maybe they're a little ridiculous for you right now, but take a look at some of the cool mustache products below, and you may find that the mustache trend really grows on you!

1. Silver Plated Pewter Mustache Necklace, $53
2. Black Resin Handlebar Mustache Pendant, $25
3. Adjustable Mustache Ring, $15

We girls have our comfy, roomy, slouchy boyfriend jeans, and now Levi's is giving the guys a chance to rock some gender bending style with ex-girlfriend jeans ($69.50). Not sure why the "ex" is there -- maybe to evoke a sense of rebellion and masculine freedom. But, one thing's for sure, while a guy's spirit may feel freed in ex-girlfriend jeans, his body from the lower-waist-down won't. In fact, he may not feel a thing because the "girlfriend" aspect of these jeans are right on. These ex-girlfriend jeans are low-rise (sitting below the waist) and incredibly skin-tight. Levi's describes the fit as "Super Skinny Fit," but since these look even skinnier than their regular 510 Super Skinny Fit jeans, it seems like an understatement. These jeans literally look painted on.
I tend to like relaxed fit or bootcut on guys, and am even pro-skinny on some guys, but I think ex-girlfriend jeans are too much. If you're going for a skinny look, just stick to the realm of skinny jeans. These Levi's skinny jeans below would look infinitely better on than any pair of ex-girlfriend jeans ever could. Plus, they're cheaper in price.
"Skinny" Levi's looks that are a thumbs up:
Levi's Guys 511 Skinny Zipper Back
Price: $58
Levi's Guys 511 Skinny Fit
Price: $42.99
Levi's Guys 501 Super Skinny Fit
Price: $42.99
Levi's Guys 511 Skinny Fit
Price: $39.99
You can find more Levi's skinny jeans here.
So, while I don't personally dig the look of ex-girlfriend jeans, I think the concept is cool. Score one for equality! And, in the past, there were reports of skinny jeans being hazardous to our health -- think of how worse ex-girlfriend jeans must be! Guys, think about your nerves and circulation, and perhaps more importantly to many, your fertility!
I want to know: girls, guys, what do you think about ex-girlfriend jeans?

The weather can be a little tricky this time of the year. Some days are warm(er) while others are on the chilly side. One of the best ways to make sure that you're prepared for these days is to layer your clothing. Cardigans often offer the best of both worlds--comfort and warmth. The only bad thing is that they can get a little expensive. Lucky for you, I found several different, stylish cardigans for women and men for much less than you would expect.
A. Women Within Plus Size ($25)
B. Splendid Very Light Drape Sweater Cardigan ($40.80)
C. Pura Vida Cardigan ($43.99)

You know what they say, "April showers bring May flowers." Hopefully, it won't rain that much this month but sometimes Mother Nature can be pretty unpredictable, especially in the Springtime. One minute it can be sunny outside and the sky can open up the next.I like to be prepared and tend to carry a small tote umbrella in my car or purse just in case. After all, wet hair + wet clothes = not a good look. Don't get caught off guard by the weather this season. Here are 12 tote umbrellas that you, your significant other, teens and kids will like.

There's just something about exercising outdoors that lifts my spirits. As long as I'm wearing a comfy pair of sneakers, I can walk for hours. As an avid walker/jogger, I can appreciate a good pair of sneakers. Nike and New Balance are two of my favorite brands because they offer superior comfort whether I'm walking around the neighborhood or running errands around town. What other sneakers stand the test of time? We recently asked 12 people to tell us about their favorite pair of sneakers. The results ranged from Asics to Zoo York. Read their reviews to see why these brands received the stamp of approval as the best sneakers for walking or running.
What do you think are the best sneakers? Add your review in the comments section at the end of this post.

2. Easy Spirit - Girl Power
"The most comfortable sneaker I've ever worn are Girl Power from the Anti-Gravity Easy Spirit collection for $59.99. Walking is a breeze! As a busy mother of two with hectic weekends, the last thing I need to worry about is comfort. With this sneaker I can get up and go. Advanced technology offers a cushioning system filled with nitrogen bubbles that relax my feet while I walk. The outsole is flexible and gives great traction. This sneaker offers high tech comfort. -Donna, 38, NY

3. Nike Shox
"Nike Shox running shoes are the most comfortable pair of sneakers, especially if you're a runner. They're a little pricey starting at $140 but they're well worth the money. You can even find them online and choose your own design with Nike iD. The shoe offers support and spring for when you're out hitting the pavement, while still protecting your arch and making it easy on your knees and back. Their light material lets your foot breathe on a hot day and the toe isn't overly pointed, so your toes aren't scrunched. If you're looking for something that will go the distance with you, in more ways than one, this is your shoe." -Erin, 24, OH

4. Reebok Princess
"Reebok Princess sneakers are the most comfortable sneakers that I have ever worn. I am a busy freelance writer who goes back and forth to different libraries to conduct research. Therefore, I am always walking. Reebok sneakers are so comfy because their insoles cushion my feet." -Rachel, 40, CA

5. Puma Cerano
"For those looking for a comfortable pair of sneakers (and who isn't?), I can testify from personal experience that the Puma Cerano are easily the most comfortable pair I have ever worn. I am a 43-year-old man from Michigan who is recovering from knee surgery. It was important for me to find a pair of sneakers that would have enough cushion to help make my recuperation and physical therapy less painful. The Puma Cerano sneakers have a unique SpiderCell heel that absorbs impact well. I have to do stretches, strengthening, and walking exercises, and the sneakers are made well enough to handle all the bending, stretching, and pounding that I put them through. They are almost more comfortable than being barefoot, as they fit like a glove and are soft from heel to toe. They also look very stylish, with the familiar Puma "tri-swoosh" and smooth, classic cut. Once my knee is back to normal, I hope to be able to do a little more vigorous exercise than I am capable of at the moment. I have no doubt that the Puma Cerano sneakers will be up to the task and able to do anything I ask of them with the snug, cozy fit that they provide." -Robert, 43, MI

6. The North Face W Ultra 104 GTX XCR
"While some people are very picky about which type of sneakers they wear, and what activities they wear them for, I knew all along that I just needed a pair of sneakers that would be comfortable, convenient, and stylish. With the W Ultra 104 GTX XCR sneaker, I have all of this and more. I wear sneakers for working out at the gym. These sneakers never cause irritation to my feet. They are supportive and sturdy. I have had them for many years, and they have never worn out. The combination of the blue and gray is more exciting than ordinary white sneakers, and they match with the black exercise clothes that I wear to the gym. The sneakers have strong traction. They are also breathable, and even after running, my feet are not sweaty. I would highly recommend the W Ultra 104 GTX XCR sneakers for every woman." -Mara, NY

"The Saucony Women's Grid Excursion TR 5 are definitely the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn! As a teacher, I am on my feet all day, but I hardly notice when I'm wearing my Saucony's. I just keep them on for my workout when I get home, and often even forget to take them off in the house. Excellent arch support, great fit, and they make me feel light on my feet!" -Randi, 23, CA

8. Sketchers D'Lite
"I am a busy mom with two children, ages 9 and 11. Like most moms who are constantly running around, helping out at school, and driving on field trips, I need to wear comfortable shoes. My favorite comfortable sneakers are my Sketchers Women's D'Lite Sneakers. The rubber sole gives the support of a good running shoe. I especially like that I can quickly slide them on and off." -Diane, 46, CA
9. Sketchers Klone
"Nothing compares to Sketchers for style and comfort. I have weak ankles and usually choose to wear sneakers over dress shoes because they are easier on my feet. I love how these particular sneakers offer my ankles padding and protection whenever I am out running in the park or playing a pick-up game on the basketball court. My ankles rarely hurt after spending a day in this type of Sketchers. They are perfect for every activity." -John, 31, UT
10. Sketchers Shape Ups
"I work in the pharmacy at a University Hospital and spend a great amount of the day on my feet. Recently, I noticed more and more of my coworkers showing up in Sketchers Shape Ups. I brushed it off as a fad and didn't think anything more of it. I came across the shoes on sale recently and, on a whim, decided to try on a pair. I couldn't believe how comfortable they were! I have wide feet and sometimes have trouble finding reasonably priced shoes that fit my feet, but these fit like a dream. I snapped them up and wore them to work the next day and was thrilled with the results. I can walk on them all day and my feet don't hurt later. Plus, because of the shape of the sole, I find that I have better posture and stand up straighter, so I look better, too..." -Amelia, 34, WA

11. Vans Classic Era
"As a 22-year-old college student from Southern California, I see trends shift in and out very quickly. This is a challenge of college living. This lifestyle requires the true test of living on a budget as well as attempting to stay fashionable with clothes that will retain a good quality. The Vans Canvas Era Classic is something that will not go out of style as long as it remains comfortable. This is a great quality for something that will cost a little less than $45. When I slip my feet into a pair of vans Canvas Era Lace-Ups, my feet are very comfortable. My feet are wide and yet never feel crammed in these shoes. There is always room for my feet to move as well as not feel too loose in the shoes. I have worn these kind of sneakers for the past 4 years, and I do not think that there is any reason for me to switch. They remain comfortable through all the times I walk all across my college campus from class to class. They will continue to feel versatile and comfortable through all of my activities as the years go by." -Mark, 22, CA

12. Zoo York Alvarado
"As someone who spends the majority of their waking hours in a pair of sneakers, there is nothing more important to me when buying a new pair of shoes than comfort. Thanks to my sleek and stylish pair of Zoo York Alvarado's, comfort is always just a step away. What makes these sneakers so comfortable? Well, for starters, there's their weight: the Zoo York Alvarado sneakers feel incredibly light when worn; giving you that "barely there" feeling whether sitting, standing, walking, or jogging. Then there's the shock absorbing midsole: while the Zoo York Alvarado sneakers don't have any fancy air-filled chambers or spring shaped rubber under their heels, their basic, flat looking midsole provides a great amount of shock absorbency which rivals that of the "specialized" sports training shoes on the market. Finally, the whole package (and your foot) is wrapped up in a soft fabric cushioned shoe lining adding just a bit more grip and support to an already super comfortable pair of sneakers. Next time you're in the market for a nice, comfy, every day pair of sneakers, give the Zoo York Alvarado's a try; you won't be disappointed! " -J., 29, HI

I will be the first to admit that I hate being cold! When the weather is cold or when the thermostat is below let's say 65 degrees, you'll find me wearing a sweater or wrapped up in a blanket. No matter how cold I get, I just can't see myself rocking Forever Lazy. As you can tell from the picture, Forever Lazy ($29.95) look those footsy PJ most of us wore as kids. The only real difference is that Forever Lazy features deep pockets and a hood for increase warmth, in addition to two-way zippers and a zippered back hatch for convenience.
Call me strange but I'm more apt to put on a pair of sweatpants with a sweatshirt. What's your take on Forever Lazy? Would you wear it around the house (hopefully not in public, as the commercial illustrates)? Tell us in the comments below.
